Two Year 12 Hospitality classes recently assisted in the catering for our High Achievers Academic Assembly on Friday 7 February. One class began preparations the previous day applying their "Mise en place" skills. The next class picked up the baton and completed preparing appetiser's and sandwiches. Students assisted Mrs Cox in the setup for the function and then packed down and cleaned up in the training centre kitchen. Students in Year 12 are commencing a new unit on Interacting with Customers and will be continuing some small catering opportunities and simulations to apply their knowledge in meeting customer needs and communication skills this Term.
